The latest health news on Farrah Fawcett, aged 62, is that she had treatment in Germany for anal cancer that she is suffering from. The treatment that she had is not approved in the US by the FDA. This has also started a debate in the US where cancer patients feel that they should have more treatment options besides the ones approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. |
In 2006, Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer which turned out to be inoperable. After having the treatment in Germany, it was revealed by her doctor in the US that she was suffering from the ill effects of the treatment. So, was spending most of her time resting in bed. Besides suffering from the ill effects of the cancer, chemotherapy and the subsequent treatments, it was revealed that Fawcett was in good spirits and had still managed to hold on to her famous sense of humor.
Besides getting treatment in the US, Farrah Fawcett traveled 6 times to Germany for further treatment. In Germany, she was treated at the Alpenpark Clinic where she received immune system enhancing treatment along with natural supplements. All this was tailor made for her taking into consideration her illness, overall health and mental state.
According to Alpenpark Clinic, the tumor reduced in size and this, in turn, has played a big role in improving Farrah's quality of life.
