“Is Tiger Woods married?” Tiger Woods, the famous golf star is married to Elin Nordegren, a former model from Sweden and a daughter of famous journalist Thomas Nordegren and Barbro Holmberg, Sweden's former minister of migration. 

Currently, their marriage faces controversies left and right that the option of getting a divorce is getting more controversial by the minute.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren got acquainted during the British Open in 2001 in Lytham, England in which the former competed in. This was in 2001 when Elin was then Jasper Parnevik's au pair.

Woods was 27 when he proposed to Nordegren who was then only 23. The proposal happened in the South African Shamwari Game Reserve in November 25,2003. Romantic can best describe what the proposal was as the couple allegedly had a walk at sunset and slept under the stars.

The couple got married on October 5, 2004 after almost a year of being engaged. The venue of the wedding was in Sandy Lane Beach resort, a posh and famous resort in the islands of Barbados.

The wedding ceremony was simple but the preparations were rather elaborate, special, and of course expensive. The wedding took place with Barbados' beautiful sunset at its background under a white-netted pagoda of Sandy Lane.

Famous personalities who attended the wedding include Michael Jordan, a basketball superstar and Oprah Winfrey, a famous talk show host.

Reportedly, Woods and Nordegren's wedding cost around $1.5 million - $ 2 million with Woods renting the whole resort along with its 110 rooms and three golf courses.

The couple’s honeymoon was spent in a multi-million dollar yacht rented by Woods.

The couple welcomed their first-born daughter, Sam Alexis Wood on July 2007 followed by the birth of their son, Charlie Axel on 2009; nearly two years after Sam Alexis was born.
