Entertainment Tonight, or ET,is a half an hour news segment that discusses the big news in the entertainment world on a daily basis. Over the years the hosts for the television show has changed despite the fact that it continues to receive positive ratings. It has been so successful that it even spawned a spin off titled The Insider. |
Over the years the show has changed lead hosts and correspondents on a regular basis as stars have made their name on Entertainment Tonight and gone on to enjoy greater positions on other channels. Among the most notable hosts of the show have been Bob Goen, who recently left the show in order to spend more time with his wife; Alan Hemberger, who now anchors at the news station KIAH; Maria Menounos, who left the show for Access Hollywood;and Tony Potts, who also left the show for Access Hollywood.
A few of the other notable hosts in the past of Entertainment Tonight are John Tesh, who left for a radio talk show career; Al Owens, who was a fill-in reporter; Vanessa Minnilo, and Robb Weller. There are additionally many other hosts that have left for several periods of time and come back to the show off and on throughout the show's existence. There are also many other hosts that have come and gone in the foreign versions of Entertainment Tonight which air in Australia, France, Brazil, Canada, and the UK. Additionally, the American version of ET is aired in several different countries.
