What Signs Tell You The Economy Is Turning Around ?

The economy does seem to be lifting its head a little higher. Maybe one should not get too optimistic about it, but the shift is seen albeit gradually. One major sign of recession was empty parking lots in shopping malls. People were scared to spend more money in case of sudden unemployment. However, when we see the malls filling with people, we can know for sure that there is a change for the better. More money spent in shopping will create more need for jobs, and that will, in turn, boost the economy further. Companies are now beginning to hire more sales personnel.

Local manufacturing units can help by increasing or starting production of reasonably priced items. 

Also, online advertising, which can be tracked, is increasing. Sales are, thereby, improving and that is also a positive sign. Sales of non-essential items are also on the rise. That means people are feeling more secure with their financial situation. 

Though there are losses when it comes to consumer loans, the banks are showing a profit. Many banks have also been able to raise money with their own efforts without the help of the government. This money has been raised through public-private investment partnership. This shows that the financial system is on the way to recovery.

This is just a rumor, but if it happens, then it will be good. AIG is proposing to sell Alico to Metlife for $15 billion or so. This will lift a big burden off the shoulders of taxpayers, who have invested in AIG. They will get their money if AIG manages to raise revenue by selling off some of its assets.
